Clubs do many things but in the main they protect the beach that you ride on by doing some or all of the following

  • Point of contact for local beach /land owners
  • Sort out any access issues
  • Deal with any problems
  • Self Police Beach / Land
  • Codes of Conduct
  • Safety Guidlines
  • Educate Public
  • Social Evenings
  • Events
  • Support up and coming riders
  • Training days

The BKSA is actively encouraging and supporting regional clubs to form - we are here to help.

Form a club in your region do not wait until there is an access issue - get organised

We can  help you with the paperwork such as Constitutions, Risk Assesments, Codes of Conduct.

We are adding new website features to support clubs . 

There are two sort of clubs at present listed on the website that you  can join-

Affiliated -

These are clubs that have met all the BKSA insurers criteria and have sent us the correct paperwork - they are covered under BKSA policy in the event of being sued as a club.They have sent us there constitution, risk assesments of beaches used together with a list of commitee members and have a bank account set up for the club.

Recognised -

These  are clubs that have been set up and are active kitesurf clubs - they have not fullfilled all the BKSA criteria and are therfore not covered under BKSA Insurance policy to run events, socials etc. They may however have there own polciy that does cover them.
