BKSA Clubs

Clubs are the lifeblood of the sport ensuring a local point of contact for any issues that may arise locally.

The BKSA will do everything possible to help you set up and run your local club to help ensure you can keep riding at your local spot and allowing a prosperous future for the sport in your area.

There are two types of clubs that the BSKA recognise-

1- Affiliated - These are clubs that have met all the BKSA insurers criteria and have sent us the correct paperwork - they are covered under BKSA policy in the event of being sued as a club. They have sent us their constitution; risk assessments of beaches used together with a list of committee members and have a bank account set up for the club.

2- Recognised - These are clubs that have been set up and are active kitesurf clubs - they have not fulfilled all the BKSA criteria and are therefore not covered under BKSA Insurance policy to run events, socials etc. They may however have there own policy that does cover them.

The BKSA can offer advice , come to meetings , help with access issues , provide equipment , help with paperwork and even finance for starting clubs and signage .
