Lewis Crathern has changed his kites this year to slingshot and after 3 months out in SA where his training didnt go exactly to plan he came back to compete whilst injured.
His first heat was a disaster as a gust caught him as he was doing a kiteloop. The resulting power catapulted him and he almost overtook his kite.
having then to work his way through the heats Lewis still ended up in the final which he won .... not bad for a rider who is injured. This shows Lewis's level on two counts one his skill and two his determination. Never one to be bettered or beaten Lew will always try to go one better.
He has now added the PKRA to his goals and is competing on the world level too. We wish him luck as he takes on the worlds best whist defending his title here this year.
