Mark should have won the mens ams last year but a mix up with heats in Troon saw him drop vital points. Moving up to the pro category this year is a big step but one that he should cope with well.

 Determined not to make the same mistake this year Mark has been training hard throughout the winter at his home spots of Fleetwood and Southshore Blackpool with friend and rival Ali Barrett.

Marks style is more old school and fluid rather than powered but this doesn't deter from some great riding. Marks style saw him through to third place in the first round and when needed he can pull out some big moves as he did at Watergate to clinch a place in the final.
