Initiatives The BKSA are working hard to educate the general public, other associations, water users, councils and landowners about kitesurfing safety access and needs. In 2006 we have produced the following to help educate- Councils and landowners Guide to Kite Surfing -  Download PDF (4.7mb) General Public Guide to Ride (50,000 copies) - Visit the Guide to Ride Page Beach Stakeholder meetings We have attended and been consulted re the use of kites and kite Surfing at stakeholder meetings to gain a better understanding and formulate beach management guides for councils. Displays The BKSA have put on organised diplays of kitesurfing at beachside and inland events such as Paddle Around the Pier , ROSPA Beach Forum meeting, Poole Windfest and WhiteAir. Membership We have also become members of ROSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and the CCPR (Central Committee for Physical Recreation) to keep us abreast of all developments. We also keep in close contact with the RYA, RNLI. Media We have achieved approx £250,000 worth of Mainstream Media exposure for kitesurfng, with Tour exposure and other BKSA events getting into National and International Press with many regional TV stations attending. 2006 has seen radio interviews from World Service, Radio 4, TVshows, Blue Peter, County file and Sports round to name but a few.
