Ultra Sport Europe have been appointed as the new distributors for the Takoon Kiteboarding Company with immediate effect.  This move has been made to further consolidate Takoon’s position as one of the leading kite brands on the market today

Takoon was founded in 2002 by the legendary designer of the original inflatable kitesurf kite, Bruno Legaignoux. After Bruno’s early success with Wipika he decided to fully expand his ideas and branch out further – Takoon was born. Since then Takoon kites have always been at the forefront of the industry, and have always pushed design to the next level.
 
Not only did the Legaignoux Brothers invent the leading edge inflatable kite, but they also developed the whole bow kite concept back in 2002. After years of product testing Takoon unveiled the first production bow kite at the Paris Boat Show back in 2004 the infamous Takoon Nova.
 
Since then Takoon have constantly been refining their bow kites to keep ahead of the game. Many kite companies still do not completely understand how to achieve the full potential of the bow kite and, due to this lack of knowledge, and a desire to circumvent the patent, have only produced Supported Leading Edge (SLE) kites. Because SLE kites do not have a concave trailing edge they are never really able to share the full potential that Takoon’s bow kites offer.
