The BKSA is actively encouraging and supporting regional clubs to form - we are here to help. Clubs are the lifeblood of the sport insuring a local point of contact for any issues that may arise locally. Councils and body's prefer to talk to clubs as apposed to individuals. Form a club in your region do not wait until there is an access issue - get organised We can help you with the paperwork such as Check-List, Registration and Constitutions. These are being refined as we progress and more up to date versions are available as well as a list of the complete benefits from us Contact to get the full BKSA support. We are going to be adding loads of new website features to support regional clubs over the coming year - so watch this space grow. There are two sort of clubs at present listed on the website that you can join- Affiliated - These are clubs that have met all the BKSA insurers criteria and have sent us the correct paperwork - they are covered under BKSA policy in the event of being sued as a club. They have sent us there constitution, risk assesments of beaches used together with a list of commitee members and have a bank account set up for the club. Recognised - These are clubs that have been set up and are active kitesurf clubs - they have not fullfilled all the BKSA criteria and are therfore not covered under BKSA Insurance policy to run events, socials etc. They may however have there own polciy that does cover them.
