Promote women in sports! KB4girls is a successful kiteboarding tour that was founded in 2009 by 9x world champion Kristin Boese. We are looking for an administrator to assist Kristin with the 2012 program including organizing the KB4girls international events and the local chapters. This position suits an organized, solution-minded and self-directed professional with superior organizational skills.
Reports to: Kristin Boese
Duties:
- Email communications with KB4girls members, local chapters, and international organizers
- Operate Microsoft Office programs to produce various work products including documents, reports, media, records, etc.
- Basic Joomla website changes and updates
- Coordinate donations (cash and in-kind) from industry partners and outside sponsors
- Build long-term relationships with sponsors, volunteers, media and community members
- Oversee KB4girls communications with sponsors, media and the community
- Any other tasks/assignments as directed by Kristin
- Weekly reporting to Kristin
Working Conditions: Position is part-time, 6-8 hours a week
This is a “work from home” position and requires use of his/her own computer, internet connection and telephone
Strict “minimum response time” will be required for all emails, phone calls, and work product
Employment Requirements: Possess a thorough understanding of professional communications
Knowledge of Joomla is preferred
Excellent time-management skills and ability to organize work effectively
Ability to work independently and with little supervision
Formal education and experience in business, sales, and/or events is required
Excellent command of the English language in both spoken and written forms
Excellent listening skills
Hard working with a passion for excellence
Forward-thinking and following through with each task started
Shows excellence in work and personal ethics
Has a pleasant, friendly, positive and enthusiastic style
Salary: Hourly rate with bonuses
