CBK Hayling Island

Chris Bull's school at Hayling is the longest running kitesurf centre in the UK. It was originally set up in 1999 under the name of Hayling Island Kitesurf School, before more recently coming under the new brand CBK, to include the shop and the club.

We have the most experienced team of instructors of any school in the UK, which allows us to offer a superior level of tuition and coaching from absolute beginners through to experienced experts. We can provide approved tuition on West Beach not only for kitesurfing, but also for power kiting, kite land boarding, stand up paddle boarding and wakeboarding.

Lessons in the UK are between March to December. Kitesurfing safaris abroad run between November to March, where we regularly visit, Morocco, Cape Verde and Kenya.

Additional Information

Hayling Island is approximately 5 miles from Portsmouth and easily accessible from most areas particularly London which is about 1 hour 15 mins by car or train. Hayling Island boasts some of the best kitesurfing conditions in the UK, due to the West Winner sand bar, which is visible from mid to low tide and creates perfect learning conditions with flat shallow water over a kilometre out to sea.Hayling Island Kitesurf School was established in 1999. Instruction is carried out by our team of experienced BKSA instructors and of course the owner of CBK, Chris Bull.  Chris has been a qualified BKSA instructor since 1999, a competitive Pro Kitesurfer since 2000, a BKSA National Trainer and over 12 years of power kiting knowledge - there is very little Chris doesn’t know about kite surfing and kiting in general! All equipment, tuition and insurance are included in the price.  We have a huge selection of wetsuits available if required and we use only the latest kite surfing equipment in our school
